Life in Equestria shimmers
Life in Equestria shines!
And I know for absolute certain
That everything is certainly fine~yeah this is super sloppy and rips off like twelve other deviations you've probably seen before BUT
I had to draw Twilight. Because the new episode was SO. DAMN. GOOD. (spoilers!) It was sweet and funny and super cheesy but still genuine and OH MY GOD CELESTIA SINGS YOU GUYS. It was like a whole movie in 22 minutes. I loved every song ( okay maybe not the boring sad one) and then Twilight gets her wings cause she fixed pony gandalf's spell and now she is pony jesus and it's so CUTE
Was the finale rushed? Meh. Perhaps, but I think it gets the job done. No new villain? Yeah, but really guys, if there was one it'd probably be Sombra/Nightmare Moon v.2. Bleh. Were the princess dresses ugly as all sin? GOOD GOD YES.
Is Twilight a Mary Sue now? No. Seriously, guys. I'm calling misogyny on that. Just because a female character takes a level up in badass does not make her a Mary Sue. Twilight is still the smart purple ball of neuroses we all fell in love with. Except now she has weirdly proportioned wings. And dumb hair.

...You know who is a Mary Sue? Superman.
I've been rooting for a certain awkward purple unicorn since day one, and I for one welcome her as my new Alicorn Overlord.
C'mon guys, hit me with those opinions!
Your drawing, however, is very nice. I love the colors you chose here.
And haha, yes! The princess dresses were ugly! Twilight's dress looked ridiculous and totally did not fit her. And no matter how I looked at them, I couldn't make Celestia's and Luna's dress(es) look nice in my head. Whoever designed them must have been in a complete rush.
Despite that, I liked everyone elses dresses. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy wore around the same colors again, so nice, nothing different I guess. Rarity could have went with something with more flair for a fashionable pony like her, but what she had on was fine. Rainbow and AJ looked pretty cool.
And hehe, yeah, the only song I didn't like that much was the sad one, "I've Got to Find a Way". It didn't really fit in with the other songs. It just was a bit dull to me. But I can see some loving the song.
But overall, awesome episode! Most of the songs were awesome, especially loved "What my Cutie Mark is Telling Me" and "A True, True Friend" was great too. And of course, no one can forget "Celestia's Ballad." I loved how the whole episode was essentially a musical. They did a good job with the transition to princesshoodnessss... yeah, that's not a real word. I hear they will continue this story arc with two more episodes in Season 4.
I'm gonna be honest..."Celestia's Ballad" made me tear up. And it was only..what? A minute long? She was so proud and the song was just so maternal and nurturing and BAAAAAAWWW
I loved " A True True Friend" too...it's catchy and fun, like "Winter Wrap Up", but also loving and it makes me FEEL THINGS. CONFOUND THESE PONIES. They drive me to experience friendship
My little pony has become such a HUGE creative catalyst for me. I never imagined I'd say that about a children's cartoon featuring magical talking technicolor ponies. XD

Three full minutes of epicness.
To be honest, I didn't fully appreciate Celestia's song until a second listen, and then this cover. I only wish the cover could be a little longer with the twinkling melody when Twilight goes back to Ponyville, though I guess that might not really be considered part of the ballad. xP
Yes, My Little Pony was probably a surprise to everyone. I watch nearly every cartoon I can get my hands on, but even I was a bit skeptical about Friendship is Magic because everyone was saying it is so awesome, and well, technicolor ponies? But MLP:FIM does not disappoint! I especially love how there's always new creative works in the making from this cartoon. Both musical and visual, like the cover above or your drawing. I think the show is an inspiration to us all.
Agreed!
