Sort of a "correction" to this piece: lopoddity.deviantart.com/art/B… . In the book Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell, it is revealed that Cadence was an orphaned pegasus before she defeated an evil enchantress (who presumably did evil dances) named Prismia, coming to an understanding of love so fully that she became an alicorn. How canon this is is up for debate. More art on this topic later. Will be scrapped.
