Often, I find myself wondering just how much I could accomplish in life if I stopped drawing ponies all the time. This cognitive dissonance is usually remedied by drawing more ponies.

anyway, yeah. Celestia. JESUS FUCK that mane is complicated. I asked myself why I had never attempted a digital Celestia...now I know why. DAT MANE. And does anyone have any tips for doing digital lineart? It's always given me trouble.:(

This is a bit of practice/promo art for my upcoming askblog, in which Luna and Celestia will respond to viewer questions with illustrated story arcs. It'll have comedy! Drama! Plot elements of the show explained! Copious amounts of feels! And pretty pony princesses!
Yeah, yeah, I know there are plenty of royal sisters askblogs, but I have yet to find one that I myself really liked. More promo art later.;)

I've for a long time wondered why people called her Tia. And for that long time and that specific area, i was going from an egghead to an dickhead.

It's obvious cause she ends with Tia.

Agree one hundred percent on Tia's mane: fun to draw, pain in the flank to color. So many gradients! Ah well, she's not nearly as bad as the crystal ponies, who both have gradient manes AND crystally bodies that I don't even KNOW the technique to.
