Personality/Background: Fast, competitive, loud-mouthed, and cocky, Zipperflash is the youngest pegasus in recent history to be signed to the Wonderbolts. One of the fastest fliers in Equestria, and the undisputed champ of trash talk, young Zips finds a rival in Aerostorm, son of Rainbow Dash. Unknown to Stormy, however, Zips actually idolizes the heck out of him, and only keeps up the cocky rival persona to avoid self-destructing from the sheer awesomeness of racing with his senpai. Stormy of course just kinda thinks Zips is a jerk and trains hard to best him.
Zipper loves flying and the adulation of the crowd, but kinda wishes sometimes he could feel that his mom would be proud of him even if he were to lose a race...

    Zipperflash has trained his entire life to be Equestria's fastest flier. Even as a foal, second place was not acceptable, not to Zips, and certainly not to his mother Lightning Dust. All this pressure to be the best has made Zips into an incredibly fast pegasus, but it has also induced a number of semi-crippling anxiety problems. Zips cannot sit or stand still for too long, and must spend his free time pacing, running, flying, or training. He gets anxious when he has to relax, and his greatest fear is being contained. He even talks fast, and most ponies find him exhausting to keep up with. Most of his sense of self worth is rooted in his ability to win, so a loss for him is sometimes followed by a complete nervous breakdown.

Relationships:
    Zipperflash loves his mom and wants nothing more than her approval. If that means training himself to the bone and having panic attacks daily, then so be it. Lightning Dust loves her son and is always proud of his victories, but she can come off as cold and overbearing at times.

    Zips has a better relationship with his father, Thunderlane. Thunderlane did most of the parenting while Lightning was often away on flight shows, and he kinda wishes his son would calm down a bit.

    Zips has a lot of hero worship for his rival, Aerostorm. Although Zips is the faster flier, Stormy is the stronger, more durable flier, and Zips isn't so sure he could beat Stormy in a race if the hippie really put his mind to it. Thus Zips struggles between rudely taunting Stormy and desperately wanting to befriend him. It isn't known whether Zips' admiration for Stormy is platonic or romantic. Either way, Zipperflash has great disdain for Stormy's best friend Bruce, who is oddly possessive of the fluffy hippie. Zips is kept further at bay from Stormy by Stormy's other best friend, Rosemary, the peaceful fitness hippie, who has threatened to wring Zips' neck if he harasses Stormy. Rosie forcefully drug politely insisted Zips attend one of her meditation classes, and Zips found himself reluctantly enjoying it. He comes to Rosie for exercise tips, life advice, and wonderful warm hugs (which he refuses to admit how much he loves, he's so starved for love oh god). He's come to admire Rosie quite a lot.

  Zips is very fond of his cousin Prima Donna, who he treats as more of a little sister. She is perhaps the only pony in the world he's comfortable to relax and be a goofball in front of. She is also the one who tweezes his dumb eyebrows into shape. Prima's other cousin, Magnolia May, tends to think Zips is a showboating idiot, and the two don't get along very well.

-Zips has a very inexplicable, thick Boston accent. He's wicked smaaaaht

-Zips flies fast enough to generate electricity in his speed trail.

-He has quite the pottymouth. Prima started a swear jar for him to drop a bit into every time he says a bad word, and at this point the jar's so full she could probably use it as a future college fund

-Zips has a thing for physically strong mares or stallions

-Zips is a little socially awkward and finds that standing about and talking to ponies and making friends is very out of his element, so he avoids it. Still, he likes to make time for his fans, especially the kids that look up to him.
