fiddling around with a new concept


Pandora doesn't have a cutie mark, but she does have, well...a mark. The six pointed star of the House of Twilight. It appeared dead center on her chest when she was a teenager, and hasn't gone away since. For the most part it's unnoticeable and pale, carefully hidden away under her chest fur, but it does illuminate when Pan undergoes moments of profound personal revelation (like the kind one experiences before gaining their cutie mark), or feels harmony in her heart (moments when she feels deep friendship or love).

As a teenager, Pan loved the mark, it proved she had some sort of deep magical destiny lying ahead, and was a tangible reminder of her connection to her mother, her family, and Equestria. Looking at it gave her strength. It meant she was special. Not a freak.

Later on, when Pandora ditches her place as an official princess of Equestria to become the Princess of Mischief, the mark is only a reminder of her own failures as a true princess of her country...and as a daughter to Twilight.
